Nick LeForce

Nick LeForce, also known as the Transformational Poet, has over 35 years of experience in the field of human communication and development. He holds a Masters degree in Rehabilitation Administration from the University of San Francisco McLaren School of Business and undergraduate degrees in Psychology and Social Welfare from California State University, Chico, CA.

Since 1982, Nick has studied extensively with leaders in the field of Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP). He is a certified Practitioner, Master Practitioner, and Trainer in NLP as well as Ericksonian Hypnotherapy and a board certified examiner for the American Council of Hypnotists Examiners (ACHE). He has designed and delivered certified NLP and Hypnotherapy training programs throughout the US, Mexico, Australia, Italy, China, Malaysia and Singapore; including NLP train the trainer programs and platform skills training for all presenters. He is particularly known for his language skills and elegant use of poetry to help people find their own voice, reclaim their soul, and walk a path with heart.


Nick is president of Inner Works, established in 1992, a coaching and training company located in Northern California, providing executive coaching services to businesses as well as personal coaching services to individuals. Nick specializes in Value-Based Life Management Skills, helping individuals and businesses to identify governing values and use those values to create compelling goals, make effective decisions, manage time, overcome barriers to success, communicate persuasively, and achieve desired outcomes.


Since 1999, he has also served as adjunct faculty member with the Los Rios Community College District located in Sacramento, CA. Through the contract education services at LRCCD Nick has designed and delivered on-site consultation and training in Leadership, Communication Skills, Customer Service Skills, Change Management, Team Building, Conflict Resolution, Supervisory Skills, Time Management, and other topics. He was primary architect of the LRCCD “Call Center Customer Service Program,” which ran from 1995-2001 designed to teach customer service skills, and to prepare and place underemployed and unemployed individuals for careers in Customer Service within call centers.


Nick is a Professional Certified Coach (PCC) certified through ICF (International Coach Federation). He has also received specialized training and is certified in NLP Health Applications. He has been a Member of IASH, Institute for Advanced Studies of Health, since its inception in 1992, which is the branch of NLP devoted to health applications. Since 2002, he has served as core trainer for the International Coaching Federation (ICF) Approved Coach Training program offered through NLP Institute of California and the Academy of Leadership Coaching and NLP. He has participated in training programs in San Francisco, CA, Boston, MA, Indianapolis, ID, Seattle, WA, Sacramento, CA, Guadalajara, Mexico, Monterrey, Mexico, and Shenzhen, Guangzhou, and Shanghai, China and trained every component of the full curriculum.

Nick is author of I Owe You, You Owe Me,(1997) a book on overcoming emotional debts and building abundant relationships; Co-Creation: How to Collaborate for Results, (2009) a mini-book on the power of perceptual positions to create incredible collaboration; and co-author, with Tim Hallbom, of Coaching in the Workplace: A Pocket Guide to Strategies for Powerful Change (2012) and six books of poetry, Heaven In Our Hearts (2102), Endless Horizon (2013), Divine Whispering (2014), The Poetry of Life (2015); Falling Before Grace; and The Work Of Being Your Self (2016).
